Handcrafted in Italy by skilled artisans that have dedicated generations to mastering their craft, the Fiamma collection from Ruvati features fireclay sinks at the pinnacle of art and form. As Ruvati is one of the few manufacturers to source true fireclay from Italy, Italy is one of the few regions in the world that produces the truly unique material. To ensure precision and durability, the raw white clay is fired at an extremely high temperature of 2900 degrees Fahrenheit as the surface of the sink fuses with the interior. The end result is a powerful finish resistant to chips, cracks, and other abrasions.

For over 200 years, fireclay sinks have been celebrated for their strength and practicality in European kitchens and farmhouses. Ruvati’s Fiamma collection now delivers this timeless farmhouse classic to the modern American kitchen. A  sink of such beauty requires care and cleaning. Here are some tips to keep your fireclay sink in pristine condition:

Do not:

  • Use harsh abrasive or caustic cleaners containing ammonia or alkalis to clean the sink’s surface

  • Use materials such as scouring pads, steel wool, abrasive powder, or liquid cleaners when cleaning the sink surface

  • Use paint removers, oven cleaners, or aggressive chemical solutions to clean the sink’s surface.

Daily Cleaning:

We recommend cleaning the sink on a regular basis with a mild dish soap or detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.

Removing Stains:

For harder-to-clean stains, we recommend using 50/50 water and bleach or vinegar solution or a non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and dry with a soft dry cloth.  You can also use a Mr. Clean® Magic Eraser®.

When metal objects, such as forks and knives, rub against the enamel surface, the metal rubs off onto the surface and can leave silver/gray metal stains. These can be hard to remove. You can use Cramer eraser to remove these stains.
